Sagemeadow’s First Annual Fall Festival!

Sagemeadow’s First Annual Fall Festival!

In 1972, the first home in our area was completed. By 1995, nearly 1,200 homes cover the area we now call Sagemeadow. It has now been 50 years since the “birth” of our neighborhood, and we are planning to have a Fall Festival to commemorate this special milestone, this November 5th, 2022.

The theme for this celebration is “An Old-fashioned Picnic”.

This first of hopefully many festivals, will feature wholesome games for all ages, a cornhole tournament, a raffle, local popup vendors, food trucks, as well as a few special guests, and free watermelon (while supplies last). There will be plenty of space for you and your family to come and have a great time having a picnic in Sagemeadow Park.

What should you bring for the picnic?

Grab your neighbor and bring whatever food you’d like to eat, a blanket to put on the ground, maybe some lawn chairs, a popup canopy, and a desire to have a good time with neighbors and friends! Note: there are a limited number of BBQ pits and park tables, so come early to get your spot to spend the afternoon!

What should not be brought?

In general, all park rules should be followed. So, no glass containers, fireworks, or a bad attitude! For a more comprehensive list, please visit the county parks website, https://engage.hcp2.com/159/Park-Rules

The specific details:

Date: Saturday, November 5th, 2022
Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Sagemeadow Park, 11219 Sageyork, Houston, TX 77089 (Sageyork @ Sagebud)

Sagemeadow Giving Back – Raffle Fundraiser

Dobie Marching Band – Veterans Memorial Stadium

In an effort to give back to our community, we are hosting a raffle by The Dobie Band Parents Organization (BPO) (a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit). The Dobie BPO is a huge support to the Dobie High School Band Program and without them, Dobie could not have the quality, award-winning band program that they currently enjoy. All raffle prizes have been graciously donated by various individuals, businesses, and local officials. All proceeds generated by the raffle will go directly to the Dobie BPO, to help continue their support of the Dobie band. Please visit the festival headquarters to purchase raffle tickets. For more information on the Dobie BPO, visit their website https://www.dobieband.com/band-parent-organization. Check here to see the available prizes and their sponsors.

Parking

The map below shows the areas around the park available for parking. Green means Open Parking and Red means No Parking. Because we will be situation in our neighborhood, please be courteous to the neighbors in front of whose homes you will be parking. There will be active police presence so if you are illegally parked, you vehicle will be ticketed and subject to tow. Walking and biking is encouraged.

Food Trucks

There will be three food trucks available at the festival. Chewvaca BBQ, Are You Thirs-Tea 2, & Italian Ice Co. If you run out of picnic food, or simply don’t have the time to pack a picnic, please plan on visiting our food trucks!
